Gua Kelam (Cave of Darkness)

Assalamualaikum, hi guys. I'm about to share a bit of my experience and review of Gua Kelam, Perlis. So here we go...
The main reason my friends and I went to Gua Kelam is to complete an assignment for TITAS subject. Since we chose the topic Gua Kelam, we decided to go there by ourselves so we could get a better look of it.

Gua Kelam is located about 33km from Kangar city. Which is quite far from our place, Pauh Putra. We went there by a Myvi car which was rent for a half-day (RM50). The journey for us to get there was about 30-40 minutes. Upon arriving, the road was under maintenance which was quite dangerous in addition it was a rainy day too. So better be careful when you're driving there. As we arrived, it was still raining cats and dogs in fact. But we need to complete this work, by all means get out of the car!

Firstly, we went to the Gallery to check out some items. There were artifacts from Gua Kelam itself placed in the gallery and of course bunch of information you need to know about Gua Kelam. From its history to its formation and science about it. A perfect place for us to get the information we needed. Okay, let me tell you, they have two caves which are Gua Kelam and Gua Kelam 2 (GK2). Unfortunately, GK2 is closed at the moment. They're under maintenance as well. So we just went to Gua Kelam. At the entrance we can see a river and it flows inside the cave too.

Some of the activities you can do there in Gua Kelam is camping, walking through the cave, get a dip in the river. err what else? Caving can also be done I think at GK2 not Gua Kelam though. The entry fee for Gua Kelam is only RM1. You just take a nice relaxing walk and enjoy the view inside  the cave. It was a really nice view to be honest. When the lights inside the cave shone on the rocks and walls of the cave it can be seen shiny and glittery. Lovely, it was!

At the end, out of the darkness of the cave is another breath-taking view! You can see the greenery trees and rivers too. There, located the camping site. It was a really nice place to get some remedy and just enjoy the beauty of nature. By all means, try and go there by yourself. Not a regret. If you're lucky when the weather is good, go and walk more into the park get the most wonderful view you can! Here are some of the pictures taken there. Shots were taken by phone camera Huawei G8. Hope it interests you.

This one looks like it can be book cover right? ;)
